Hi there! My name is LaNeisha Emerson, founder of Bee-YOU-tiful ABA! While I look forward to getting to know more about you, here is a little bit about me:

I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education/ Special Education for over 10 years. I have primarily been in the ABA Field since 2018 and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a over 1 year! ❤️ I found ABA when I had just finished my bachelors degree and knew that I wanted to work in the field of Special Education in some capacity. I found my first employment add for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position (a title I had never heard of). I read the ad, thought that it looked like a fun and interesting way to teach skills, and applied. I was soon hired and began working as an RBT. I started to learn about the principles of ABA and how I could apply them to my own life. I worked with my own boys at home on skills that we had previously found little progress with such as: waiting, accepting/tolerating “No”, following multiple-step directions, tolerating hygiene practices (especially nail cutting), and many more. I watched my boys blossom in an environment that continually celebrated their wins (however the size) and coached them through the hard moments. As an RBT, I also watched my clients make outstanding progress through their treatment programs created by their BCBA’s! My passion was ignited and I found my place in the world. I went on to pursue my Master’s Degree and credentialing to become a BCBA.

My goal for this buzz-ness is to celebrate individuals and their unique strengths and struggles, while helping them build skills such as self-care skills, language skills, toleration of denials/delays in gratification, social skills, and self-advocacy skills. I also wish to assist individuals in learning safe skills/language to have their needs communicated to replace those behaviors that may be a danger to themselves or others.

A few fun facts about me -  besides my love for ABA, I LOVE  farming and I am a reptile/fish enthusiast.
